Free stock not a good buy

Apparently, it is not embarrassing enough that stock in Metro Detroit's remaining useful companies is, at this point, essentially free. Now, turning on the television machine means being subjected to talking heads bringing you the v. important message that while the now free-ish stock may appear irresistible, DO NOT BUY. HAHAHA DETROIT SUCKS. DO NOT BE TEMPTED.

The Freep helpfully explains: "Yes, folks, shareholders could get nothing if GM goes bankrupt or gets a bailout." Status: up to date.
